It's Okay
To enjoy fighting
I have a question to pose to the blog-reading public, whoever it may be. What is the greatest compliment you've ever recieved? Has anyone ever said something to you that just made you feel really good?
I can't think of what mine would be. It seems so silly. Two leap to mind, but they certainly weren't the hugest compliments I've ever gotten. I'm sure a big compliment would have been something a professor said or something a fellow musician had said about me, but I can't think of anything specific like that at this time.
Two compliments leap to mind, and although they sound silly, they must have struck a chord because I haven't forgotten them. One was "Claire, you say the awesomest stuff." It was funny... but it also meant a lot. I don't even remember what I'd said that triggered it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The other one was, "Claire, if I could sing like you, I'd be, like, the biggest diva." That also made me laugh, mostly because, really I can't sing but anybody can sing folk and get away with it. It just... I don't know. I think I like lighthearted compliments... those really meant a lot to me, because they had weight to them. I don't know. It's hard to explain.
So what about those who read this blog? What's the best compliment you ever recieved? You can either answer, in form of "comment" on the blog, you can write about it in your own blog if you have one, or you can just sorta ruminate on it by yourself. Or you couldn't do any of that. That's fine too. I just think it's nice to reflect upon nice things that have been said about you. It kinda makes you feel good. Everyone should do it sometimes I think. And anyway, I'm intrigued to hear what anyone else has to say about this subject. The time has come to be egotistical I think. Let's all brag about how awesome we are. After all, we are all pretty awesome, are we not? I know I am. I mean, hey, I do say the "awesomest stuff." Haha.

Dr. Snyder once told me that I was a very intelligent woman.
people always say shit like, you're so good in school.... but wow, intelligent. might sound wierd, but it was definatly the best.
